April 9, 2014 GOUVERNEUR - Fidelis Care, the New York State Catholic Health Plan celebrated the grand opening of its Gouverneur Community Office March 26 with a ribbon cutting ceremony and reception. Located at 101 East Main Street, the Community Office was established to make free or affordable health insurance coverage easily accessible to neighbors in and around Gouverneur. “We have been providing quality, affordable coverage in St. Lawrence County since 2011, and we are here to stay,” said Chief Marketing Officer Pamela Hassen. “We already work closely with providers and community organizations to help people who need health insurance coverage. “Now, if anyone has questions or needs help with enrollment or recertification, they have the option of meeting with a Fidelis Care representative in this office,” she said. In St. Lawrence County, Fidelis Care has an extensive provider network and more than 11,000 members. Fidelis Care’s Gouverneur Community Office is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5.
