Archives After-abortion healing retreat offered Oct. 10-12

Saranac Lake - The next Rachel’s Vineyard after-abortion healing retreat will be held over Columbus Day Weekend October 10-12 at the Guggenheim Lodge.

The weekend, which begins Friday evening and concludes Sunday afternoon, is open to women and men suffering after an abortion or miscarriage loss. The retreat allows for both individual and group reflection and is strictly confidential.

For the retreat, Father Bryan Stitt is the chaplain, Sister Rita Mawn is the facilitator and Harley McDevitt is the therapist.  Dale Barr, Eastern Ontario regional coordinator of Silent No More Ministry serves on of the retreat team as well as diocesan Respect Life directors, John and Colleen Miner.

The weekend includes daily Mass, Eucharistic Adoration and the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The cost of $100 includes lodging, meals and retreat materials. Partial scholarships are available. Pre-registration is required.
