Remembered in Carthage
Father DelConte’s nearly 20 years of service to the people of the Diocese of Ogdensburg went far beyond his normal duties as a parish priest. He was so very active and forever welcomed by the students and faculty of Augustinian Academy.

A common sight would have six or ten youngsters clustered around Father Del, as they called him, bringing him back to the rectory, or to the principal’s office.

His tremendous ability for decoration enhanced many social gatherings. His eye for color was a great assist in the repair and redecoration of Saint James Church.

The complete restoration of the magnificent Stations of the Cross (a two-year project) are a lasting legacy showing his talent.
