The It’s Our Church, It’s Our Future Capital Campaign continues to inspire more and more of the faithful throughout the parish communities of the North Country. Fifty-nine parishes in Blocks 1 & 2 are actively participating in the Campaign (with Block 3 currently conducting the active phase of the campaign).

Eighteen (18) of the 59 parishes have already exceeded their goals. Congratulations! An additional 13 parishes are over 75 percent of goal. Thank you to those families who have responded early in this campaign. The diocese is grateful for your sacrifice and support. With continued follow up of those parishioners who have yet to respond, more and more parishes will surpass their campaign goal in the coming weeks and months.

The consulting firm Guidance in Giving Inc. is conducting the capital campaign and working closely with the Diocese of Ogdensburg Development Office to hit the campaign’s $16.3 million goal. Included in the $16.3 million is $1.3 million for the 2018 Bishop’s Fund Appeal.

Of the funds raised once the parish meets its Bishops Fund Appeal, 75 percent of funds raised will remain at the parish for their direct needs, such as parish programs, ministries and capital improvements. Each parish has developed its own case statement outlining how funds raised will address their specific parish needs. The remaining 25 percent of the funds raised supports the parishes’ indirect needs such as retired priests, seminarians, Camp Guggenheim and St. Mary’s Cathedral.
