Jan. 10, 2018 Watertown - Officials at Immaculate Heart Central School have announced the appointment of Lynise Lassiter as principal of the school effective Jan. 2. Mrs. Lassiter is replacing Joseph Orobona, who has been interim principal since September. Mrs. Lassiter earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Religion and Education from Hunter College. She earned her Master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Educational Leadership from Oakland University, Michigan. In addition to classroom instruction at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as a college instructor for over ten years, she has developed and facilitated professional development workshops for school faculties, developed and revised curricula, trained teachers and has participated on school and district-level committees. She has been a teacher at IHC for the past two years. IHC officials said, “We are confident that our school will continue to provide a quality Catholic education and a place for our faculty and students to grow under Mrs. Lassiter’s expertise and enthusiasm.” |
