Meet the Staff

Robert Leader
My name is Robert Leader. I am from Gouverneur, NY and my home parish is St. James.

I am currently a student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida where I am majoring in aeronautical science.

I am so excited to begin my first summer as a camp counselor because I love Guggenheim and I am looking forward to spending my summer bringing campers closer to Christ.

 

 

 

 

 

Kevin McCullouch

Hi, my name is Kevin McCullouch. This will be my third year on staff at Camp Guggenheim, but my 10th year here at camp!

Over this past year I just finished my first year at the Pontifical College Josephinum. I am majoring in Philosophy, and as a seminarian that means I am studying to be a Priest. Before entering the Seminary, I attended two years at SUNY Jefferson Community College.

I completed my Certification to be a Youth Minister in the spring of 2017.

I can’t wait to start the summer with my incredible co-workers for the summer, and all the returning, and NEW campers of this season.

 

 

 

Katy Sherman

Hi, my name is Katy Sherman. I spent my childhood growing up in the North Country, but I currently reside in Melbourne, Florida and my home parish is Our Lady of Lourdes. In the fall, I will be a senior at Ave Maria University where I am majoring in Exercise Science and playing lacrosse.

This will be my third summer on staff. Camp has always been my favorite place on earth and has had such a positive influence on my faith journey. I could not be more excited to spread Christ’s love with all the campers this summer! I am ready to hike, swim, & PRAISE!

 

 

 

 

 

Ellen MinerHi my name is Ellen Miner and this will be my fourth summer on Guggenheim staff! I have lived in Saranac Lake, NY my entire life and am a parishioner of St. Bernard’s Church. I graduated this past December from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD with a degree in French and minors in History and English. Camp Guggenheim has been a part of my life and faith formation for as long as I can remember, and I am so excited to return and share the wonders of our awesome faith with the campers this summer through hiking, swimming, and praising! 

 

 

 

 

 

Michael BobakHi, My name is Michael Bobak.  I live in Grand Island, New York and I go to St. Stephens Parish.  I will be going into my Senior year as a Biology student at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.  This will be my third year on staff!  I cannot wait to go hiking, go crazy at waterfront, and praise the Lord at Song Practice!  Camp Guggenheim has always had a special place in my life, and I cannot wait to make my way back up there again to share another incredible summer with all the campers!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Adam BranchHi, my name is Adam Branch. I am a freshman health science major at Siena College. I am from Saint Bernard’ s Parish in Saranac Lake New York, and I can’t wait to be on staff at camp Guggenheim this summer! Ever since my first week as a camper at camp Guggenheim, I have wanted to be on the staff. I believe it is the staff’s love and devotion to their ministry that makes Camp Guggenheim such a life changing experience for so many young campers. This summer, I am excited to help the campers learn and grow in their faith just as I did when I first came to camp.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Claire WoolschlagerHi, my name is Clare Woolschlager. I live in Croghan, New York and I am a member of St. Stephen’s Parish. This fall I will be a sophomore at Siena College in Albany where I am majoring in Biology.
I have attended Camp Guggenheim for seven years as a camper and I am so excited to be on staff for the first time this year. I can’t wait to share my faith with all the campers and see what God has in store for this summer!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nicholas OlleyMy name is Nicholas Olley. I am from Natural Bridge and parishioner at St. James in Carthage. I just finished my second year studying for the priesthood as a seminarian for the Diocese Ogdensburg, at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus Ohio. I’m so glad to be back for the third year as the cook at Guggenheim. I really love nourishing and being there with the fun, excited, great, and young Church of our Diocese, the with Christ’s and His Church’s Love for each one of them by conversation and great tasting food of course!

 

 

 

 

 

 

FoltanMy name is Mariah Foltan.  I am from Delmar, NY and my home parish is Saint Thomas the Apostle. I am currently a student at Hudson Valley Community College and I am majoring in liberal arts.

This is my first year working at Camp Guggenheim, although I have attended camp sessions for seven years.

Since then I have always hoped to be a part of the staff, and I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to spend my summer at one of my favorite places, spreading Christ’s love to each of the campers!

 

 

 

 

GruberGreetings! My name is Lukas Gruber. I originally hail from Queens, NY and later Smithtown, NY on Long Island. After graduating from the Crane School of Music with a Music Performance degree in 2016, I entered seminary as a seminarian for the Diocese of Ogdensburg and have completed my first year of formation and a two-year degree in Philosophy. My home parish is St. Mary’s in Potsdam, and I served there for many years as an organist and later music director, campus minister, and pastoral associate for St. Mary’s and St. Patrick’s in Colton, NY. This will be my second year on staff, and I look forward to seeing all the returning campers as well as meeting all the first-timers. It promises to be a summer full of fun and more importantly of faith, and I look forward to working together as we all grow closer to Jesus Christ.

 

 

 

 

LeaderMy name is Grace Leader and I am currently finishing my junior year as a Theology/ Catechetics major at Franciscan University of Steubenville Ohio.

I am from St. James Parish in Gouverneur and I am blessed to be working with two of my seven siblings at camp this summer.

I have been a counselor at Camp Guggenheim for the past two summers and I am very thankful for the opportunity to work there again this coming summer.

I am very excited to serve you all as we hike, swim, and praise God together at camp! 

 

 

 

 

PierceHi! My name is Carter Pierce and I hail from St. Raphael’s Parish in Heuvelton. I am a sophomore seminarian for the Diocese of Ogdensburg studying philosophy at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio.

I have never been to Teen Camp as a staff member or camper so I am looking forward to a breakout rookie season!

I am very excited to hike, swim, praise, and be God’s instrument leading others to Christ. Hope to see you there!

 

 

 

 

 

ParmeterHi, my name is Marikate Parmeter and I’m 19 years old. I am from Plattsburgh and my home parish is St. John’s. Currently, I am finishing my first year at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY as a Health Science major into Occupational Therapy. 

This will be my first year on staff at Camp Guggenheim. Camp has always been my favorite part of the summer for the past six years. I am blessed to have this opportunity to work with such a wonderful staff and continue my faith journey with all of you by my side. I am so excited to meet all of you as we Hike, Swim, and Praise!

 

 

 

 

 

Hi!  My name is Kelly Donnelly, I am incredibly blessed to be serving as the Camp Director for Donnellymy fifth year.  I live in Plattsburgh and am the Director of Youth Ministry for the Diocese.  I’m engaged to be married this August.  Some of my hobbies include kayaking, traveling, and reading. 

I love Guggenheim and getting to know the campers as they experience the joy of Christ and grow in their faith in such as nurturing, fun environment. 

Please keep all of the campers, staff, and chaplains in your prayers as we enter into the summer!

 

 

 

 

CummingsHello! My name is Conner Cummings, I am 22 years old and I am a senior at SUNY Potsdam studying Business Administration. I am from Alexandria Bay, New York where I attend St. Cyril’s Catholic Church.

This will be my tenth year at camp, my third year on staff, and my first year serving as camp’s assistant director!

Camp has always held a place in my heart and I am counting down every day in anticipation to hike, swim, and praise with all of you this summer!

 

 

 

 

 

WoolschlagerMy name is Lillia Woolschlager and I grew up in the town of Croghan, attending St. Stephen’s Parish. I am currently living in Chicago and studying music performance at DePaul University.

For the past ten years, I’ve looked to camp as the highlight of my summers and I can’t wait to be coming back for another!

I am so excited to see the work of the Lord in the camper’s hearts and to continue sharing the light of Christ with them as a Catholic community.

 

 

 

 

 

McBrideMy name is Johnny McBride. I am originally from Saranac Lake but currently live in Waterbury, Vermont. I will be graduating from Assumption College this Spring with a major in Theology and a minor in English.

This will be my 10th summer at camp and 4th summer on staff.  Guggenheim was a place that my faith came to life. Each summer I do my best and try my hardest to show the campers that being Catholic is full of wonder, helps us lead lives of joy, and is overall awesome. I look forward to everything Camp entails and being able to share my faith with the campers is a blessing.

 


 

 

 

Leader Hello, Diocese of Ogdensburg! My name is Joy Leader, and I am from St. James Parish in Gouverneur, NY. I am currently a senior at Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH where I plan to graduate this May with a degree in Spanish and Theology.

I am overjoyed to be returning to Guggenheim for my third summer on Staff, and I thank God for this opportunity to serve our diocese in this way.
