LENTEN ADORATION
Plattsburgh – St. Peter’s Church will offer weekday adoration during Lent beginning on Ash Wednesday after the 6:45 daily Mass and will end at 7 PM on Wednesday of Holy Week with Benediction.

THE PASSION AND RESURRECTION NARRATIVES
Plattsburgh - The Little Rock Scripture Study continues this Lenten season at St. Peter’s Church.
Date: Begins Tuesday Feb. 16th and every Tuesday until March 30th
Time: 10:30 a.m. in the Emmaus Room or 7 p.m. in the chapel.
Features: This study compares the particular insights found in the passion and resurrection accounts of the four Gospels. 40 DAYS FOR LIFE
Plattsburgh - 40 Days for Life, Vigil

the national 40 Days for Life effort from February 17 through March 28. EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
Plattsburgh – Eucharistic Adoration is held throughout the year every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

HEALING MINISTRY
Plattsburgh – St. Peter’s parish is currently accepting applications for membership on the prayer team.
Living Waters Healing Ministry, affiliated with St. Peter’s Parish, Plattsburgh has been holding monthly healing services since November, 2008. If interested one must complete a formal application, supply a letter of recommendation from your pastor, partake in a personal interview, complete a 10-12 hour training program and commit to 5-6 hours per month of ministry.  Applications are available at the parish rectory at 114 Cornelia St., or via email at spchurch1692@charter.net or by calling 518-563-1692.  Application deadline is March 20, 2009.

FIRST FRIDAY
Carthage - St. James will host a special 7-8 p.m. holy hour novena for priests every first Friday. The holy hour will consist of communal prayers, a reflection on a different saint each month whom we will ask for their special intercessions, as well as, time for private/quiet adoration. During this hour we will pray that holy young men in our diocese and throughout the world develop a burning desire to become a priest and we will pray, of course, for all priests both living and deceased.
St. James Church will be having exposition and adoration following the 9:30 a.m. mass concluding with benediction 7 a.m. Saturday morning (nearly 24 hours). This is in honor of our Holy Father's request to pray for priests during this jubilee year.

SHIVERBALL
Ogdensburg – The annual romp in the snow to Softball rules, “Shiverball” is coming once again to Father Martin Park.

Features: This year’s edition marks the 25th anniversary of this wacky event.  All proceeds from the event benefit the Ogdensburg Relay for Life.  The field is set to accept 16 teams in the double elimination one pitch mat ball tournament.  The format is Co-Ed and there must be two women and two men on the field at all times.  Interested teams should contact Cool 95 Radio at 393-1100 or Bill Taylor at the K of C 393-7990.  Heat, Food and Beverages will be provided in the K of C clubrooms and musical entertainment will be provided.  Deadline for team entry is Feb. 17th.
