Archives Week of events at Immaculate Heart Central

February 1, 2023

WATERTOWN – Immaculate Heart Central kicked off a week of fun, service and celebrations on Sunday as the school celebrates Catholic Schools Week Jan. 29 to Feb. 4.

Sunday, IHC held a schoolwide Pancake Breakfast at the school from 9 to 11 a.m. The breakfast was free for all IHC families and alumni.

On Monday, Jan. 30, elementary students will have a dress-down day, and an Art Extravaganza will be held in grades JK4, kindergarten, one and two. At the junior/senior high, students can wear sports shirts, the school’s annual Souper Bowl food drive will begin, and the “Name the teacher game” begins.

Tuesday, Jan. 31, will also be a dress-down day in the elementary, and students in grades JK5, third, fourth and fifth will host an Art Extravaganza. Also that day, junior/senior high students will have Wacky Uniform Day, an ice cream sundae bar and student raffles.

Students throughout the school will wear their uniforms on Wednesday, Feb. 1, as they attend Mass and focus on service to others. This year’s senior class will be helping elementary students assemble homeless kits.

It’s back to relaxed dress on Thursday, Feb. 2, as elementary students have pajama day, and junior/senior high students have a mismatch dress-down day. Older students will also create thank you cards for the school’s faculty and staff.

On Friday, students across the school will have blue and white dress down day in honor of the school’s colors, and elementary students will compete in Spirit Day Relay Races. At the junior/senior high, the annual seniors vs. faculty volleyball game will be held, and Name the Teacher prizes will be awarded.
