Archives Mass of Christian Burial celebrated for Sister Lucille Beaulieu, OSM

A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister Lucille Beaulieu, of the Order of Servants of Mary (Servites), was celebrated on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Our Lady of Sorrows Convent in Omaha, Nebraska.

Sister Lucille died June 22, 2024. She was 94.

Born July 21, 1929, in Massena, she was the second oldest child of Odilon and Emilienne Beaulieu.

She made her final profession with the Order of Servants of Mary on August 15, 1952.

Sister Lucille began her ministry, which included teaching, faith formation, parish work and ministry to the hospitalized, those in nursing homes and the homebound, in Iowa and then Colorado before serving in Detroit, Michigan, and Omaha, Albion and Scottsbluff Nebraska. She later served in Massena before spending a year as a Servite foreign exchange sister in France. She then returned to Nebraska before being assigned to Lowville and then St. Augustine’s Church in North Bangor, where she retired as pastoral associate in 2014.

Burial will be in the Servants of Mary Cemetery, Omaha, Nebraska.

Memorial donations may be made to the Servants of Mary, 7400 Military Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska 68134.
