Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ: In this Jubilee Year of Hope, we have been invited to rediscover a spirituality of God’s creation in which we understand ourselves as pilgrims on earth, serving those around us and living by our Heavenly Father’s values. In a similar fashion, the Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ogdensburg, N.Y. was established back in 2007 to help Catholics live out a sacred mission called by God to protect human life, to promote dignity, to defend those who are poor, to strengthen the Church and to seek the common good. And now 18 years later, the Foundation continues to be an important instrument for the growth of our Church and a valuable means to Build a Bridge for the Future. Since its establishment, fifty-eight endowments have been created in the Foundation. These are listed in this insert along with their beneficiaries. Parishioners, families, businesses and organizations continue to make planned gifts to the Foundation as a means of support for our parishes, Catholic schools and other ministries and funds in the Diocese of Ogdensburg. Please take a moment to review our annual report to learn more about the Foundation’s mission and how it functions. We are very grateful to the members of our Board of Directors for their wise stewardship in overseeing the investments and dividends of its funds along with all those parishioners, families, businesses and organizations who have had the foresight to establish and contribute generously to the Foundation. These endowments are a perpetual source of revenue for the future works of the Church. If you have not already, I encourage you to consider developing an estate plan for the benefit of your loved ones.
